So today I colored this chibi thing with Copic Markers after a very long break and thought to myself, "whee, this is so much fun, wonder why I haven't colored with Copics for so long ".
...Then I scanned it and remembered the cruel reality. BECAUSE I JUST CAN'T GET THE SCAN LOOK AS GOOD AS THE ORIGINAL. It's a major pain when I only showcase my art on the net and might be making this into a keychain/sticker/something too, so a good scan would be nice. :I Of course there's plenty of ways to retouch the picture with Photoshop after scanning, but I'm about never as pleased with the result as I am with the original.

To the facts! Chibi Hitsugaya Toushirou from Bleach. I really don't care about his character but still ended up doodling this, guess I'm trying to draw popular characters to make keychains of to see if people would buy them. Outfit from the second Bleach movie The DiamondDust Rebellion, if anyone is wondering.
Will probably retouch this til it pleases me. [Edit] And after the scan mess I was so displeased that I forgot I was supposed to make a simple background for this, will add that later. [/edit]
Awww, it's Hitsugaya, and he's lookin' real cute! Yeah, that's the drawback of coloring things traditionally and scanning it onto a computer. Stupid scanners. You'd have much better luck using a camera.
I have used a camera for that before, but as this might become a sticker or keychain or other printed thing I need to get the details as clear as possible. :/ Nevertheless now that I re-discovered the fun of coloring with Copics I'll most likely continue for at least a while, computer-coloring can get really boring when coloring lots of similar chibis like this.
Copic markers are the best markers to use for coloring, if you've been to anime cons you may have seen Tempera selling them in their own booth because they advertise them as "manga markers" or something like that. >_>
And thanks, Hitsugaya does lack in interestingness so I'm surprised I managed to finish a picture of him. Guess the chance of going to Artist's Alley's encouraged me to draw popular characters in hopes of attention-whoring...
Guess it's really been a while as I can't even remember any message of mine you'd still have to reply, so no worries there XDD
And the fact that I hadn't submitted any new art for such a long time (just two for the whole year before this, WTF D8) probably made me submit this in the first place, it's not that I hadn't drawn and actually finished stuff, but it's mostly random chibi stuff to make keychains or stickers in the future from and those have seemed a bit too cheap to submit here. >_<; Hopefully I'll still get some real art to submit soon, seeing my DA so neglected makes me feel guilty. :'( (If nothing else, I promised my friend I'd cosplay Tsukasa (the school girl) again at this one small event where she's going as the character's sister, so I should finally get some photos of it and maybe throw those here, I did quite like the costume after all. )
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
